Alacati is located in western Turkey and belongs to the province of Izmir. Sitting on the beautiful Aegean coastline, the area has become famous as one of the world's top spots for kite and wind surfing. with the PWA Windsurfing World Cup held there in August 2015.
The town is sleepy during the day as most people head to the sandy beaches and at night, the town comes alive with its cobbled streets buzzing with tourists and locals alike, some heading down to the waterfront restaurants and trendy bars down at the Marina.
The area is also known for its quaint architecture with traditional stone houses on cobbled streets, also known for its windmills and vineyards with some of the finest Turkish wines produced in the area
