Dalyan is traditionally a farming village that sits on the banks of a river that runs through the village, located on the stunning Turquoise coast of Turkey. Served by Dalaman airport and sitting between the two popular resorts of Marmaris and Fethiye.
The local beach of Iztuzu at the end of the river is the breeding ground for the endangered Loggerhead Sea Turtles. Dalyan is surrounded by lush green areas and pine clad mountains almost like a sea of several shades of green much like the varying shades of blue in the Mediterranean. In years gone by Dalyan was an area full of cotton fields, now replaced by orchards of juicy pomegranates, orange and olive groves, all sold in the local weekly markets along with other locally produced fruit and vegetables.
