Uzumlu is much more relaxed location than the nearby busy harbour town of Fethiye which is just a stone's throw away by car or local transport. Local restaurants are never far away, offering some superb tasty Turkish dishes. Food in Turkey is almost always freshly cooked on the premises and many of the ingredients are locally produced by farmers who still tend their land every day. Some popular and other more secluded beaches such as Olu Deniz, Kidrak and Gemiler beach are also a short drive away so you are never far away from any the local attractions.
