Spacious and very affordable detached villa in Fethiye for sale. Located peacefully in Uzumlu with 7 bedrooms and a private pool. Ideal investment.
The team at Turkey Homes are extremely pleased to present this exceptional value for money detached villa in Fethiye for sale, surrounded by nature in the peaceful hillside retreat of Yesil Uzumlu in south-western Turkey.
Nestled on the hillsides in the outskirts of the busy harbour town of Fethiye, the village is surrounded by some wonderful scenery, with rolling mountains, beautiful pine forests and lots of open green farmland.
Life in the village is centred on the village square with a handful of local shops, traditional restaurants and a few bars, and the traditional Turkish tea shop, where the locals gather for a game of backgammon, board games or cards over a few glasses of Cay (Turkish tea).
Most of the new homes in the village area set back behind the village centre, some having lovely elevated positions overlooking the valley and the local mountains and enjoying the cool mountain breezes throughout the summer months. The centre of the village has more of the old traditional stone houses with whitewashed walls adorned with beautiful flowering Bougainvillaea draped from the overhanging balconies, and a huge advantage with property in Uzumlu is the value for money when compared to real estate in other Fethiye areas.
This beautiful new traditional villa for sale in Uzumlu is one that offers paramount privacy, located on a hillside on the edge of the village, with the busy village centre located approximately 1.5km away where you find all the shops, bars and restaurants etc.
Standing alone on the hillside with the nearest neighbours being a couple of minutes walk away, backed by the lush green sloping hills of the village and boasting outstanding views of the valley and the surrounding mountains.
Settled in a private walled and gated plot that offers a private stone laid driveway with a shades carport which is a necessity to keep the car cool in the scorching summer heat. The gardens provide stone and shingle walkways with a small landscaped area to the front of the property, along with a raised sun terrace that encompasses a good sized private swimming pool which for safety is surrounded by traditional white balustrade railings.
Living space is set over three floors, with the additions of a large storage basement area, with a little work could be converted to be used as a playroom, games room or gym.
Entered via raised and covered open porch areas, where you find a steel security door opening into a reception hallway laid with veined marble flooring with a handy guest/family shower room and a marble staircase winding up the upper floors.
The hallway offers an open ornate archway leading into the spacious open-plan living area with a further archways leading from area to area giving an effect of separate rooms.
The kitchen offers ample storage units with cream wood panelled doors, topped with peach marble works surfaces and finished with beige tiles splash backs and a large picture window over the sink peeing out over the gardens and local landscape, with the spacious dining area sitting just off the kitchen, furnished with a large solid wood dining suite with gothic chairs and a large matching French dresser, with the dining area offering access to a large shaded alfresco dining terrace that overlooks the swimming pool and the valley.
The lounge area is equally spacious and very comfortable furnished, again offering patio doors that lead out the large shaded terrace
The ground floor also hosts 1 bedroom, a good sized double bedroom currently used as second lounge/TV room and office and has the use of the ground floor shower room.
Taking the stairs to the first-floor guided by wrought iron handrails, you reach a landing area that gives access to the next 3 bedrooms, with bedrooms 2 and 3 being sizeable double bedrooms, both with patio doors leading out to large private balconies with stunning nature views, both with the use of a second family shower room on the same floor.
Bedroom 4 is the large master bedroom with a king-size four-poster bed and drapes, with the privacy of an en-suite bathroom that features a Jacuzzi bathtub with an overhead shower. The master bedroom also has access to a large private balcony with panoramic views over the valley and mountains.
Finally to the top floor, which is roof space with sloping pine-clad ceilings, you have the final 3 bedrooms giving 7 bedrooms in total with bedroom 5 being a double room, currently used as a twin with storage space under the eaves of the roof and doors opening to a private balcony for more of those wonderful views over the valley.
Bedroom 6 is again a double room with storage under the eaves, again set as a twin receiving natural light via a picture window that also offers great valley views, the final bedroom is a smaller single bedroom that also offers storage space, with these 2 bedrooms sharing a family shower room on the same level and all seven bedrooms are furnished with quality bespoke wooden furniture.

A stone's throw away from the beautiful harbour town of Fethiye, lies the sleepy farming village of Uzumlu. Nestled in the hillside above Fethiye, Uzumlu is still a traditional village, with locals producing many kilos of fresh fruit and vegetables for sale on the local markets in the area.
Every April the village holds a three-day Mushroom festival, and locals flock to the village to savour the locally found 'Kuzugöbeği mantar' which is a rare mushroom. There is always live music and folk dancing too, and outdoor stalls selling Gozleme, a Turkish savoury stuffed pancake.
