Kalkan is located on the beautiful south-west coast of Turkey and belongs to the province of Antalya, though it does have closer links to the Fethiye area of the Mugla province, thus most people tend to fly into Dalaman Airport rather than Antalya for shorter transfer times.

The village depends mostly on tourism for its income, therefore, you will always receive a lovely friendly welcome from the locals as they try their hardest to keep the village as authentic and traditional as possible, and so far the village has kept most of its charm and has not been spoilt by mass tourism.
