Turkey Homes are very pleased to offer this stunning private villa for sale in the beautiful exclusive resort of Kalkan on the south-western coastline of Turkey.
Kalkan is located between the bustling city of Antalya and the busy fishing and harbour town of Fethiye, Though the resort does officially belong to the Antalya province it does have much closer links the Fethiye area, thus, most of its visitors use Dalaman airport for a shorter transfer time from the airport.
Built around a bay, the beautiful resort is similar to an ancient amphitheatre, with its captive audience being some amazing luxury villas and apartments, that seem to cascade down towards the sea and the stunning harbour and marina area.
With much of the Kalkan area being a protected national park, the resort has always managed to avoid huge developments by large hotel chains and mass tourism, retaining its natural beauty and traditional fishing village feel. The resort also relies highly on its tourism, therefore, the local people strive hard all year round to keep the town as traditional as it always has been, hoping that all of its visitors will return to the warm hospitality of the Turkish people.
Location
This lovely villa has a slightly elevated position, enjoying stunning panoramic views out across the azure of the Mediterranean sea and the local islands just offshore, it has the beautiful harbour and marina in its sights just below its location and also has sneaky views across the neighbouring bay of Kalamar too.
Exterior Features
The property is surrounded by a light natural stone wall and accessed at the rear by a private driveway leading to a private shaded carport, an essential to keep the car cool in the heat of the summer months. A small wrought iron gate then leads you to the garden area with pretty planted borders and large travertine terraced areas that surround the house. At the front of the house, the large terrace offers an inviting swimming pool with ample space for lazy summer pool days and alfresco evening dining whilst taking in the stunning views and amazing sunsets on offer.
The facade of the villa has some lovely traditional features, with a light natural stone turret and wall features, large overhanging balconies all giving the property a wonderful character in keeping with the local architectural heritage.
Interior Aspects
Having been designed over three floors, the villa's main entrance is located on the ground floor level, entered via a steel security door at the side of the property. On entering the front door you find yourself in a small reception lobby area, with a handy family shower room to the right and the main living area straight ahead. Next to the shower room is a spiral marble staircase that heads up through the turret to the upper levels, with a handy storage cupboard beneath, ideal for storing the hoover and cleaning equipment.
The modern fitted kitchen sits to the rear of the living area, decked out with light beech units, brown flecked granite work surface and beige tiled splash backs. The kitchen also has a small picture window looking put to the carport area and gardens and a handy breakfast bar for casual style dining, which cleverly separates the kitchen from the lounge area. The kitchen also has a slightly lower ceiling with sunken spotlights delicately lighting the area.
The lounge/dining area has a lovely feature fireplace to keep you warm in the cooler winter months. Brightly lit from several double glazed windows and doors, all offering spectacular views out to sea, and the patio doors open up to give you access to the main front terrace by the pool.
To the left of the main entrance door, you will find the first of the four bedrooms, currently used as a second lounge area with wrought iron sofas and a lovely arched window with a single patio door giving further access to the front terrace and pool.
