Speaking at the Resort Tourism Congress organized by AKTOB, Carlo Olejniczak who is the Vice President and General Manager of Booking.com for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) stated that Turkey was one of the highly impactful and active destinations globally. He emphasized that Turkey was also among the most searched locations on their platform.
Carlo Olejniczak conducted a speech titled "Online Travel Market Worldwide" at the AKTOB-organized Resort Tourism Congress.
He expressed that Turkey was a very good market for them, adding, "It is one of the highly impactful and active destinations globally. Additionally, it is one of the most sought-after places on our platform."

Olejniczak highlighted the rising demand for holidays and noted following; "2023 is going very well for Booking.com. We are trying to meet all the demands during the season. The geopolitical situations are changing day by day, so it is challenging to make predictions for the 2024 season, but we anticipate a positive outlook for the tourism and travel sector in the coming season. Early reservations have increased by 30%, and there are now fewer cancellations. 80% of tourists prefer flexible packages for their reservations."
It is a fact that Turkey’s tourism sector is growing each and every year and the administration has put big targets for 2024 as well. This is in parallel to the improvement in accommodation opportunities and service quality provided by the sector.
