NEWS "Tour of Antalya" will host hundreds of cyclists from 16 countries

The "Tour of Antalya," consisting of 25 teams, 175 cyclists from 16 countries, and spanning 4 stages totalling 601.7 kilometres, will be held between February 8th and 11th.

The international cycling race, "Tour of Antalya powered by AKRA," categorized as 2.1 by the International Cycling Union (UCI) in the elite men's international road cycling calendar, consisting of 4 days and 4 stages, will be organized for the fifth time in Antalya, one of Turkey's leading cultural and tourism centres, with the participation of cycling teams, between February 8th and 11th, 2024.

The "Tour of Antalya”, organized by Argeus Travel & Events and Yedi İletişim since 2018, will host 25 teams and 175 cyclists from 16 countries in Antalya for 4 stages covering 601.7 km.

By hosting famous cycling teams from France to Italy, Belgium to Germany, and New Zealand to America for four days, the event will contribute to the promotion of Antalya. The launch of the organization took place at the AKRA Hotel with the participation of Antalya Deputy Governor Yalçın Sezgin, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, President of the Turkish Cycling Federation Emin Müftüoğlu, Chairman of the Organization Committee Haydar Barut, representatives of public institutions, sponsor brands, and media members.

Regarding the event, Antalya Deputy Governor Yalçın Sezgin has made the following statement:

“We will start tomorrow in Side. We have to sustain tourism throughout the year. We host over 20 million tourists. We have new goals in this regard. It is very important to do tourism for 12 months to achieve these goals. Events between November and March contribute significantly to Antalya. These events will accelerate Antalya's becoming a global city."
