NEWS Turkish series 'YARGI' (Justice) awarded the International Emmy Award

The Turkish series titled 'YARGI' (Justice) has been deemed worthy of the International Emmy Award in Turkey.

The International Emmy Awards, presented by the Television Arts and Sciences Academy for productions produced outside the United States, found their winners in New York.

At the ceremony held at the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel, 56 productions from 20 countries were represented in 14 categories.

At the ceremony, the series 'YARGI,' produced by AY YAPIM, received the award in the 'Best Telenovela' category.

The producer of the series, Kerem Çatay, director Ali Bilgin, screenwriter Sema Ergenekon, and lead actors Pınar Deniz and Kaan Urgancıoğlu were present at the event.

The documentary on Buffy Saint-Marie from Canada won the International Emmy Award in the 'Arts Programming' category. The documentary, which explores the singer's career spanning over 60 years, was directed by Canadian filmmaker Madison Thomas.

At the awards ceremony, Deepak Chopra presented the International Emmy Directing Award to Ektaa R. Kapoor, the Founder Partner of Balaji Telefilms."

"YARGI is a Turkish television series in the genres of drama, action, psychological thriller, crime, and police, titled and produced by AY YAPIM, directed by Ali Bilgin and Beste Sultan Kasapoğulları, and written by Sema Ergenekon. The first episode aired on September 19, 2021. The lead roles are portrayed by Kaan Urgancıoğlu and Pınar Deniz."
