Build Your Custom Home in Fethiye with Turkey Homes

The beautiful Fethiye region is ideal for designing and building your own custom home in Turkey. 1: The Groundwork

They say preparation is essential, and to start your custom home project, we discuss your budget for buying land, obtaining licenses, employing the architect, and getting the title deeds. At this stage, also let us know what you expect your dream home to look like. How many bedrooms and bathrooms will your home have? Will the landscape gardens include a swimming pool? What will the interior features, design, and décor look like?

2: Buy the Land

The next step is to buy land. Aspects to consider include property views, but sea views push the land price up. Will the house receive morning, afternoon, or all-day sun? What is the walking and driving distance to shops, bars, restaurants, banks, beaches, and supermarkets? Do you want a hilly position or flat land? When you find your plot, we will head to the solicitor and start the process of buying it, which should take between 3 to 6 weeks. Ovacik - Oludeniz: This area is always in demand, thanks to the scenic landscapes. Inland Ovacik enjoys cool breezes throughout summer, prompting slightly cooler temperatures than coastal resorts at sea level. Once an unknown, small farming village, the landscape consisted of old stone houses and dirt track roads with fields of grazing livestock and olive trees. Calis Beach: As another popular area, Calis Beach consists of an ultra-modern promenade, a beautiful beach and stunning sunset views to go with it. As a favourite seaside holiday and ex-pat destination, anyone looking to build a villa in Fethiye should consider the area because it offers affordable prices per square meter and has stunning landscape and sea views. Uzumlu: Uzumlu, which means vineyard in English, sits inland, and offers the best prices per square meter of land; hence is ideal for building big homes. Seydikemer of Fethiye: This lovely little town/village is an upper coming hub for all nature home lovers. Often called the next Uzumlu of Fethiye and sitting around 48 kilometres outside of Fethiye town, the region is closer to famous the famous Saklikent George. Land prices in Seydikemer compared to prime locations like Ovacik and Calis Beach are almost half the price. 3: Start Building

So, once we have the land and all building licenses, we then meet with the architect, who will make the official floorplans and ensure they adhere to Turkish building regulations. We also meet with the construction company to choose materials like tiles, doors, kitchen units, and bathroom fittings. Once the building starts, if you are not in Turkey, we send regular updates via What’s App, Messenger, or Skype of construction videos so that you can see your house at each stage.

4: Moving In

Once we complete the house and get the construction signed off, we then apply for the title deeds; you take the keys, and we arrange utility connection and furniture. Then, after a final check and snagging list, you can proudly move into your new home.
